halong bay with boats
stained wall with stamps (couldn't figure out what the stamps meant)
after my summer internship in korea, i flew down to vietnam for a week with my kwestmates from morocco. we split our time between saigon and hanoi (although i posted more photos in hanoi than in saigon). we wanted to spent some more time in the central and middle part of vietnam, but didn't have time due to people's flights out - we all left at different times. M and i ended up spending too much time in hanoi, but that was already.
the two highlights of the trip were the food and halong bay. we sprung for the deluxe version of the overnight bay cruise and while we had a big debate over whether it was worth it. it was definitely the right choice. the accommodations on the boat were the best we had the whole trip - which was funny. the food was amazing - lots of fresh seafood and the views were stunning. the hardcore a/c didn't hurt. oh and we went sea kayaking and M hated me after that. i'm not a good kayakmate.
the food was just so great - i'll post photos of just food soon - just thinking about it now makes me want to go out and eat some food. not just pho - although i would love that right now too.
