day eleven: flying back home

i know i haven't posted about day ten, don't have time for that right now. but will write it on the plane and post when i get back to chicago. it's pretty early in the morning right now. 7am, all packed and showered and ready to walk to the train station, jump on a train to the airport and wait for 9.5 hour flight back home. not sure i'm looking forward to it, but then again i haven't done much reading on this trip so hopefully i'll get a solid five hours in. add in a couple hours of sleeping and a movie and i think we're in good shape.

on a side note, N has been farting up something fierce. it should qualify as a toxic gas at this point. the windows are wide open, i'd rather freeze to death with fresh air and die with smelly gas.

the whole trip has been an amazing romp around the UK and amsterdam. N and i have shared our top moments on the trips, which i'll compile and post tomorrow. i think we both preferred scotland and amsterdam to london and ireland for their beauty (the mountains and the canals). and on that friendly thought, i'm off.
