q the quotebook

as some friends know, i have been working on a new version of my quotation book for a number of years now. the first version i compiled in college and wrote the quotes by hand into a moleskin notebook. this took forever and wasn't reproducible.

since then i've collected thousands of quotations and selected what i thought were the most profound. i often read the quotes (i know i'm supposed to call them quotations because it's grammatically correct, but it's just easier to write quotes - so go with me on this) for inspiration and/or thought provocation. while most of the quotes are in line with what i believe (in the broadest sense of the word), a fair number are conflicting, which always make for a good thought exercise. if you were philosophy major that would sound exciting... if you're a normal human being - now is the time to roll your eyes and shun the philosophers.

in any case the image is the cover to the newest version, which is still being edited for formatting (yes the banker formatting insanity is in full effect so it'll be a few more weeks before i get through the edits and go to press). if you'd like one, let me know.

along with the production of the book - i'll be pulling some of the quotes into the blog and rambling on about how i use them to shape my bizarro life.
