My dumps my dumps my lovely lady dumplings



an old college tradition continues
back in college my roommates (H&W) used to make dumplings from scratch including the wrapper a few times a semester and freeze them for late nights and finals week. that tradition has returned in bschool

ingredient list
  • pork, tofu
  • green onions, cilantro, chives, napa cabbage
  • garlic, ginger
  • kirin, soy sauce, sesame oil
  • salt and pepper
  • flour, salt and hot water (for the wrapper)

cooking method
  • saute in teaspoon of oil till golden brown on one side
  • flip over and pour three tablespoons of water in pan and cover to steam
  • let the water evaporate and saute till both sides are golden brown
results in a crispy skin but moist filling and thoroughly cooked pork!
