a baggy problem

the first of a long line of bags: i bought this bag in junior year of college from the santa monica urban outfitters. yes i remember, and i know that's scary. especially since i can't remember what i did the day before.

so i've already mentioned that i'm a minimalist. but there are some areas where that's not really the case. technology comes to mine first (but that's another whole series of silly posts). the other is bags. i have a lot of bags: messenger bags, leather satchels, daypacks, backpacks, laundry bags, electronics cases, cable cases, etc.....

but i have a good reason. well, sort of. while i hate specialization in people, i love it in my stuff. i like have a bag that perfectly meets my needs for an actively, my weekend coffee shop lounging messenger will be different from my school backpack or from my gym bag. now the irony of all this is that i always make fun of girls who have a million different purses/bags. and it's not lost on me that i have a billion bags, but since i differentiate on functionality and not color or shape or size for "fashion's sake", i somehow believe i'm exempt from blame.

but i'm not. i admit it. i'm an addict. i mean how do i explain that i have five different neoprene cases for various cables and devices and just general use? clearly i can't. but i love them. keeps everything so organized. at this point you're either laughing or kinda sad from the nerdy A.D.D. both i think are about right.
